What is JDRF Australia's Annual Giving Day?
When does it start?
It begins at 10am AEST on the Thursday 30 May 2024 and goes for 24 hours.
Where does my money go?
Funds from our Annual Giving Day will go towards vital T1D research. This can range from antibody testing and developing technology to helping progress promising Disease-Modifying Therapies (DMTs) and screening children for T1D.
Ultimately, this money will help turn type 1 into type none.
Can I donate before 30 May?
How are donations being matched?
Who are the donation matchers?
What amount of my donation is tax deductable?
Can community fundraising efforts (for example a Bunnings BBQ or raffle) be doubled through Giving Day?
Why can't community fundraising funds be matched?
The Giving Day and the Tax Appeal focus on tax-deductible donations. Community fundraising funds are not eligible for tax deductions, and therefore, they cannot be processed through the Giving Day platform or matched from the pool.
What should I do with the funds raised through community fundraising?
If you have raised funds through community fundraising and would like to donate them to JDRF, please visit the Blue Army website at bluearmy.jdrf.org.au or contact JDRF donor services by emailing info@jdrf.org.au.
