As you may know, Type 1 Diabetes has been in our family for 17 years now. Seems like a life time ago that Will was diagnosed at just 2 years old. He has come so far from that scared little 2 year old that we had to hold down to give his insulin to an amazing 19 year old living his best life! This is all possible because Diabetes research and technology continues to advance, but there is more to do and we want this to continue to help him live his life without his diabetes getting in the way! 

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a lifelong autoimmune condition where your body stops producing insulin—which is what controls blood sugar levels in our bodies. It means 24/7 monitoring of blood sugar levels and administering insulin into your body multiple times a day either through injections or an insulin pump. There is currently no cure for this condition, and it affects more than 130,000 Australians, with a further 8 people diagnosed each day.
